Psychotherapist
Full-time. Salary based on experience.
Job description
- Conduct pre-admission sessions to formulate a psychosocial assessment with diagnosis and determine eligibility for admission.
- Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy to children, adults, and families.
- Create and implement treatment plans for every client.
- Complete progress notes and all chart documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate case-record documentation and statistical reports, and prepare other reports as required.
- Collaborate with onsite psychiatrists/providers, family, school staff, and community providers to coordinate care.
- Plan for discharge and/or aftercare, and make referrals to agencies and community resources as needed.
- Attend training, staff conferences, and staff meetings as needed; weekly clinical supervision is required.
- Be self-reflective and engaged in the supervisory and learning process.
Skills & requirements
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT license is a MUST.
- 1 to 3 years of experience providing individual therapy to children and/or adults.
- Experience in assessment and diagnosis, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety contracts.
- Strong knowledge of the DSM-5.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to work evenings and/or one weekend day.
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
- Willing to submit to background checks.
